The Heart Behind AJLF

Angela Johnson (1970–2014)

Angela Johnson was more than a master cosmetologist—she was a teacher, mentor, nurturer, and fierce advocate for her students in pursuit of purpose within the beauty industry. With decades of experience behind the chair, she transformed her classroom into a safe haven where students felt seen, heard, and empowered.

Her passion for learning and mentorship led her to serve as a cosmetology instructor at Gaithersburg High School for 17 years. Her students held a special place in her heart. Affectionately known as “Teach,” Angela became a guiding force in their lives, offering wisdom, encouragement, and unwavering support. She approached every challenge with a spirit of excellence and was never afraid to take on challenging tasks.

A woman of deep and unwavering faith, Angela studied the Word of God diligently and lived her life with purpose and integrity. She believed that beauty was more than skin deep—it was a calling to uplift others through your hands, your words, and your presence.

Angela was especially passionate about shaping the next generation. She mentored dozens of young stylists, many of whom have gone on to open their own salons or pursue careers in beauty entrepreneurship. She instilled not only the technical skills of the craft but also the ethics, discipline, and heart required to truly serve others.

The Angela Johnson Legacy Foundation (AJLF) was created to carry her torch—by providing aspiring beauty professionals with access to mentorship, education, and real-world opportunities to grow. Through every student we support, her legacy of love, excellence, and empowerment lives on.

By becoming a trusted leader in training, guidance, and career development, AJLF is committed to streamlining the path to licensure, empowering students, and building a connected, compassionate community of beauty professionals.

Patrick Nunez, Co-Founder

Relationships + Network

Patrick Nunez brings a Midwestern perspective to Worldwide Driver, originally hailing from Ohio. A devout Catholic and active participant in Catholic business communities, Patrick’s values shape his approach to building strong, trustworthy client relationships.

While attending the University of Maryland, Patrick partnered with Kevin Polite to launch their first event company. After gaining project management and national client operations experience at Datawatch Systems—overseeing support for millions of square feet of commercial property—Patrick reunited with Kevin to build Success for Business, LLC, a freight and transportation company fueled by venture capital from a loyal Culdesac Chauffeur client.

Today at Worldwide Driver, Patrick leads operational systems development, configuring and optimizing platforms like Limo Anywhere and Lead Quote Close (LQC) to ensure seamless reservations, dynamic pricing, and top-tier backend logistics. Holding a Class A CDL, Patrick’s firsthand transportation expertise further strengthens our commitment to reliability and excellence.

Beyond operations, Patrick also holds certifications in Fire Inspector II, Firefighter II, and Hazardous Materials Operations, bringing a deep understanding of safety, emergency response, and critical thinking to enhance the quality and security of every client’s experience with Worldwide Driver.

Angela Johnson will forever be remembered as a radiant light whose love touched everyone around her. Her greatest joy in life was found in the embrace of her two beautiful children, who were the center of her heart and the reason behind her brightest smiles. She carried herself with grace, warmth, and an unshakable devotion, creating a home filled with laughter, care, and unconditional love. Angela’s spirit lives on through the precious bond she shared with her children, a bond that will never be broken. Though she is no longer here in body, her love, guidance, and strength continue to surround them, a lasting reminder of a mother’s endless devotion and a legacy of love that time can never erase.
