AJLF Merit Scholarship
This $1,500 - $2,500 merit-based scholarship honors students who demonstrate exceptional leadership, academic excellence, and a strong commitment to service. Open to all students regardless of financial status, recipients will also gain access to AJLF’s Rooted in Beauty Mentorship Program and be featured through exclusive spotlight opportunities that highlight their achievements and potential in the beauty industry.
The Angela Johnson Award of Excellence
This award is exclusively for cosmetology students at Gaithersburg High School and is by nomination only—students may not apply directly. Eligible nominees must be in their final year of the cosmetology program and planning to take the state board exam within the next six months. They must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (weighted or unweighted), demonstrate strong character and leadership through school, work, or community involvement, and have no more than two unexcused absences during their senior year, as verified by official school attendance records.
Crowned for Greatness Scholarship
🏆 This full tuition scholarship (excluding books and supplies) is awarded to students with demonstrated financial need who are pursuing a career in the beauty industry.
